Galawasp

I created a 60-second cartoon-style animation for Galawasp, a rising streetwear brand, to showcase their new tracksuit release. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s cartoons and street culture, I aimed to capture the brand’s bold, rebellious energy in a fun, fast-paced format. The concept of the video and track is by the guys from Galawasp. I handled the entire visual process: from storyboarding to character design, animation, and editing. One of the main creative challenges was conveying dynamic movement and attitude in such a short timeframe, which I solved through looping action sequences and expressive poses.

I began with loose scribbles in Procreate to sketch out the initial idea, then created a detailed storyboard in Photoshop. Most of the animation was done frame by frame in Photoshop to get that hand-drawn, cartoon feel. I then used After Effects for compositing, camera moves, and final touches.

Here you can see how I transformed the initial scribble into a storyboard. This version was later revised during feedback rounds and the animation production phase, where I added additional scenes to better synchronize the visuals with the music track and ensure a smoother flow.
